Some things to think about if you have been in hospital
We would love to see you always have a dedicated support team around you.
That takes the form of doctors, nurses, family, a relationship, friends! Have a handful of people you know care and you trust. This will make easy the process of leaving hospital and returning home.
By speaking to hospital staff, you develop a treatment plan and steps to follow if you feel bad after you come home.
Maintain contact with the doctor and the hospital as you move out.
You should know if your treatment plan develops.
Keep an open dialogue with your team- they really care.
You are on the road now.
We hope you find a warmth when you see yourself live fully.
There is the risk there will come a time you feel so bad again you get very distressed or even try to take your own life.
It is a valid idea to plan for this possibility. These would be simple steps to lead you in a crisis and prevent you doing something very regrettable.
If you decide to think about this, consider warning signs, members of your support team who could help, and lowering the risks in your environment.
Then, sharing your plan with your treating consultant, family, and friends would be good.
Find a place to keep it where you will go in your hour of distress.
And use it!
You may find it very helpful.

For sure, there’s a lot more to think about and talk about, so let’s share and create a Voix Guide together, and find out what’s important for YOU.
